President’s Letter
September 4, 2025
To All Our Supporters--
This month marks the 30th anniversary of Ballroom Dance Dallas. It took a lot of commitment and dedication from the individuals who formed the Club and built it into what we have today. You, too, as attendees have also contributed to our success, and the entire Board thanks you for your loyalty. Be sure you have September 20 on your calendar, so that you won’t miss the fun and celebration.
We had a great Salsa lesson in August by Karla Maldonado and her partner. There was immediate energy in the room, and it was a great lesson. It was also nice to have The Marc Toussaint Quartet. Please keep in mind that BDD has always been committed to providing live music for dancers, and we plan to continue that promise. However, it takes about 180 people in attendance to just break even, so please encourage your friends to attend. If someone hasn’t attended in a while, take a moment to reach out to them.
September 20 will be a spectacular night. Aimée Méndez will be teaching a fabulous Rumba lesson, so be sure to be there at 7. In addition, Ms. Méndez has choreographed a special showcase during the first break. And the crème de la crème for the evening is that the fabulous Dave Tanner Band will provide lovely dance music so we can practice our new steps. Bring friends and family and don’t miss a minute.
I hope you enjoy your three-day weekend. Labor Day is a great time to be with family and friends and is a day set aside to honor the workforce of today. So, enjoy your time, and we will see you soon.
Linda
