Greetings Ballroom Dancers,

The September dance was such a delight. We celebrated 31 years of Ballroom Dance Dallas with a Sock Hop and dancing to the sos with the Dave Tanner Band. We had a great East Coast Swing lesson by Dana Vonn. It was a fun evening! There were balloons, cupcakes and two showcase performances.

There is a feeling of "Fall is Back" in the air with cooler weather and some much-needed rain. We are looking forward to a West Coast Swing lesson by Elaine Hewlett from the Rhythm Room. The Marc Toussaint Quartet will be the performing band

During our break at the October dance, we are looking forward to paying tribute to BDD's Sponsors and Past Presidents. Please come to recognize the many people who make BDD a great place to dance and belong. Also at the break, the BDD Nominating Committee, Jane Polan Tesoriero, Simona Bare, and Leslie Neighbors, will introduce the 2027 Board Members.

If you attended The Showcase DFW event last year, you will be happy to know that www.TheShowcaseDFW.com will be returning this year on October 24, 2026. Check their website for tickets. If you are a member of Ballroom Dance Dallas, you can receive discounted tickets of $5-off the $10 VIP Pre-Party, seating in the Front or Second Row, if you enter the code BDD. When you put in the code, BDD will receive a donation from this event to help our club. It's a win-win!

It's time again to renew your BDD Membership for 2027. The 2027 BDD Membership forms are now on the BDD website, and they are attached to this October Newsletter.

Ballroom Dance Dallas desires to grow. Help us grow our attendance each month so we can enjoy our passion for dancing to a live band and lessons from exceptional instructors. Please share the joy of dance with people you know. Bring a friend to our dances and introduce them to good times, great music, and new friends to share our love of Ballroom Dancing.

Always a dance lesson! Always a LIVE Band!

See you on the dance floor,

Minnette Kless
